Exciting ECT Opportunities in Croydon Your Teaching is currently recruiting enthusiastic and ambitious Early Career Teachers (ECTs) for a number of excellent primary school opportunities across Croydon, starting in September 2026.
We are working with supportive and welcoming primary schools that are keen to secure strong ECTs ahead of the new academic year. Schools are already arranging interviews, observation lessons, and trial days, allowing candidates to meet staff, experience the school environment, and secure their role early.

About the Role As an Early Career Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons, supporting pupil progress, and creating a positive learning environment while continuing your professional development through a structured ECT programme.
Key Responsibilities Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the National Curriculum.
Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
Assess and monitor pupil progress.
Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils.
Establish positive behaviour expectations and classroom routines.
Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and parents/carers.
Support pupils' academic, social, and emotional development.
Engage fully with the school's ECT support and development programme.
Requirements:
Essential Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or expected QTS by September 2026.
Eligible to begin or continue the Early Career Teacher (ECT) induction programme.
Strong understanding of effective teaching and learning practices.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Right to work in the UK.
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
Available full-time from September 2026.
