Overview
The South Tees Audiology Service team is based around Middlesbrough, Northallerton and the Yorkshire Dales and provides high quality, innovative Audiology care. The service includes an in house earmould laboratory, cochlear implantation, Audiologist-led balance clinics including vestibular rehabilitation, paediatrics/neonatal screening, Bone Conduction Hearing Devices, direct referral hearing aids and fast-track GP Audiology screening. The main purpose-built department is located in The James Cook University Hospital, Middlesbrough.
Informal enquiries are welcomed by the department. This Trust offers leadership and improvement training to all new staff, including a leadership development programme and a Quality Improvement Programme designed to support leaders in developing leadership and management skills.
Responsibilities
* Principle duties of this post include adult assessment and rehabilitation with both routine and complex adult caseloads.
Leadership & Development
The programme aims to: explore leadership within the NHS; promote Trust values and behaviours; develop leadership effectiveness and skills; provide practitioner level in quality improvement to champion, lead and complete quality improvement within your role. After completing four and a half days of training, opportunities for further leadership and improvement training are available, including in-house courses and bite-sized programmes, with leadership apprenticeships at levels 3, 5 and 7.
