Shifts: Monday – Friday 07:00 – 16:00, with potential for overtime
SRG are currently recruiting for a mechanically biased Maintenance Engineer to join a successful and growing client based in Tamworth.
This is a hands‑on role focused on maintaining diagnosing and improving plant machinery to ensure safe, efficient and reliable operations. As the Mechanical Maintenance/ Plant Engineer, you will play a key role in minimising downtime and driving continuous improvement.
This role provides clear progression pathways, supported by ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
Key responsibilities (including but not limited to):
* Maintain, diagnose and repair plant equipment and machinery
* Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and fault finding
* Manage spare parts stock
* Support design and development of new equipment
* Support production by ensuring all equipment is fully operational.
Criteria:
* NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds in Engineering (or equivalent)
* Proven experience in a similar position
* Strong mechanical engineering skills
* IOSH or NEBOSH (desirable)
* Welding to BS 4872‑1 standard (desirable)
* IPAF licence or willingness to obtain (desirable)
