Overview

This position offers an excellent opportunity to become part of our team and provide support across the organization.

We pay an attractive salary of £31,537 - £34,434 and offer access to training and development opportunities.

The Youth Service in Caerphilly has a Curriculum Framework that provides a foundation for developing high quality work with young people. Planning for young people's learning in the curriculum takes place around five core themes: Citizenship; Creativity; Recreation; Health and Well being; and Life Skills, enabling youth workers to plan, deliver and evaluate work in a systematic and measurable way ensuring that beneficial outcomes for young people are achieved.


Responsibilities

As a Youth Worker for Curriculum and Accreditation you will contribute to increasing the capacity of this service to deliver accredited programmes of learning.


Qualifications and Experience

* Relevant Level 3 qualification on the Credit and Qualifications Framework for Wales. For example Youth and Community Work, Community Development, Criminal Justice, Early Years, Education, Teaching, Social Work.
* Experience in Youth Work or an associated field.
* Full UK Category B (Cars) driving licence and the use of a motor vehicle insured for business / work purposes to travel throughout the borough to undertake duties in locations both in the borough and beyond, attend meetings and transport colleagues.
* Full UK Category B (Cars) driving licence to drive a Council vehicle (people carrier) and transport young people and colleagues on a regular basis.
