About the Client:
Mecc Alte is a global leader in the manufacture of synchronous alternators, with a strong reputation for quality and innovation. They are currently looking for a reliable and experienced Warehouse Operative with a valid Reach forklift licence to join their busy team in Oakham on a temporary basis, with potential for long-term opportunities depending on business needs.
The Role:
You'll support warehouse operations, focusing on despatch processes, stock control, and forklift operation. You will be required to work safely and efficiently, handling goods in and out of the warehouse while maintaining a clean and organised workspace.
Key Responsibilities:
Physical preparation and packing of customer orders
Loading and unloading deliveries
Stock location and inventory control
Safe and correct storage of goods
Operating Reach (and ideally Counterbalance) forklifts
Crane operations and manual handling
Maintaining warehouse safety and cleanliness
Highlighting and resolving system/process issues
Accurate recording of all relevant activities
Liaising with internal departments to support service delivery
About You:
You are a reliable and hardworking individual with experience in a fast-paced warehouse environment. You have excellent attention to detail, a positive work ethic, and are flexible with working hours.
Essential Skills & Experience:
Valid ITTSAR-accredited Reach Forklift Licence(RTITB also accepted)
Warehouse experience including picking, packing, and dispatch
Knowledge of stock control processes
Good communication and team-working skills
High attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
Flexible and available to work overtime/weekends if required
Committed to health, safety, and quality standards
Desirable:
Valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence (ITTSAR or RTITB-accredited)
Experience with SAP systems
Crane operation experience
