At Prestwick Service Centre we are specialists in the maintenance, repair and overhaul of aircraft engine nacelles systems and engine components.

What You Will Do

1. Perform manual and automated cleaning of aerospace parts, tools, and assemblies using approved chemicals, washbay equipment, and industry best practices.
2. Prepare components for inspection, repair, or further processing by removing oils, dirt, coatings, and debris.
3. Safely operate pressure washers, portable wash units, and associated cleaning equipment.
4. Conduct Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) using the Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection (FPI) process.
5. Collaborate closely with mechanics and inspectors to ensure components meet required cleanliness and quality standards.
6. Support receiving and shipping processes through disassembly and assembly of component parts.
7. Perform routine equipment checks, basic maintenance, and housekeeping to maintain a safe and efficient working environment.
8. Adhere to PPE requirements, spill control procedures, safe operating instructions, and waste disposal protocols in line with aerospace regulations.
9. Ensure full compliance with company policies including EH&S, Code of Ethics, Intellectual Property, and Global Trade Compliance requirements.
10. Complete finishing tasks such as Alochrome application, part marking, closing work orders, and booking parts into stock.
11. Generate Certificates of Conformance (C of C) for completed parts.
12. Identify and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
13. Package and prepare finalised components for shipment.

This role requires flexibility within a fast-evolving global aviation market. A rotating dayshift/backshift pattern may be required (with competitive shift premiums). A comprehensive training plan will be provided to support your development.

Qualifications We Prefer

21. A mechanical background with demonstrable hands-on skills
22. Aviation experience is desirable but not essential
23. Flexibility to work shift patterns aligned to business needs
24. Strong verbal and written communication skills
25. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and job cards
26. A proactive mindset with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
27. Strong organisational and time-management skills (knowledge of Continuous Improvement principles is advantageous)
28. High levels of motivation, initiative, and attention to detail
29. Experience with Microsoft Office; SAP knowledge is desirable
30. Commitment to compliance with EH&S, Code of Ethics, Intellectual Property, and Global Trade requirements
