Job overview
To ensure that the equipment is in safe working order and that it has been cleaned in a manor as agreed with the Trusts’ Infection Prevention and Control Team.
Main duties of the job
To maintain a close liaison with the senior Medical Equipment Librarians in the day-to-day running of the Equipment Library. Be able to communicate information to other team members.
Ensuring equipment is cleaned and decontaminated by ward staff before being returned to the Library, then ensuring that an additional cleaning process occurs for medical equipment and an additional decontamination process occurs for static and dynamic mattresses.

Education & Qualifications
* General education to GCSE level
* Level 3 Qualification in relevant area or equivalent experience
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities
* Good communication skills, written and verbal
* Ability to work with little or no supervision
* Experience of the cleaning of medical equipment (will be given if none)
Experience
* IT knowledge, experience and training
* Experience of working in an Acute Hospital environment
