Job Details
Location: Central Belt, Scotland (Glasgow to Edinburgh). The role requires travel across central Scotland. Eligible candidates must undergo an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check.
Responsibilities
* Conduct service visits to address reported calls and maintain high professional service standards.
* Respond promptly to customer service requests for the repair of business equipment.
* Diagnose faults and implement repairs through adjustments, cleaning, or spare parts replacement.
* Carry out preventive maintenance per manufacturer guidelines and service management recommendations.
* Communicate effectively with customers, providing detailed reports and ensuring acceptance of equipment condition post‑service.
* Install equipment sold by the company and ensure optimal performance for customer satisfaction.
* Provide training and guidance to customers to maximise equipment efficiency and prevent operational errors.
* Manage inventory of spare parts and consumables effectively to support service operations.
Skills and Experience Required
* Experience working as an engineer on multi‑function device (MFD) printers.
* IT knowledge including networking devices and setting up scanning functions.
* Excellent customer service experience in a customer‑facing role.
* Experience working in a target‑driven environment.
* Professional appearance and presentation at all times.
* Willingness to undertake training on new product lines such as laptops and PCs.
