Role Details
* Band 6: Senior/Specialist Occupational Therapist
* Salary: From £39,015 – £46,981 per annum (DOE)
* Site: Cygnet Brunel, Bristol
* Hours: 40 hours/week (Full Time)
* Contract: Fixed term maternity cover (up to 10 months)
* Service Line: Neuropsychiatry
Responsibilities
* Provide specialist occupational therapy within a Neuropsychiatry service, supporting service users with Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) or Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI).
* Part of an MDT including Psychiatry, Speciality Doctor, Psychology, Speech and Language Therapy, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy and Dietetics; contribute to evidence-based practice and service development.
* Lead and deliver an occupational therapy pathway, adapting engagement approaches and personnel to maximise engagement and progress through treatment stages.
* Collaborate with ward teams to support individual goals, manage complex needs, and promote safe and meaningful activity for service users.
Qualifications
* You are…
* Qualified in Occupational Therapy – degree, diploma or equivalent
* HPCP registered and a member of a professional body
* Preferably experienced in mental health and/or neurological conditions
* Excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills and a positive approach
* Hands-on with OT processes/interventions and able to work independently
* Empathetic, sensitive and able to remain calm in challenging situations
* Highly organised, clear, professional and concise in report writing
