Adi Facilities Engineering Electromechanical Apprentice
Location – Towcester, Northamptonshire
Working alongside our skilled and experienced staff to gain the required skills, whilst working towards a nationally recognised Technical and National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) qualification. The adi Apprentice Academy provides a tailored development programme and network with other apprentices within the business.
All apprentices are offered a wide range of work place experience and our Apprentice Academy is designed to fully support the learner throughout the duration of the apprenticeship training programme to become a highly capable, skilled and valued member of our work force.
About the Role
As an apprentice, you will work alongside experienced engineers and technicians to maintain, repair, and improve production equipment, contributing to efficient and safe manufacturing operations.
Specifically, your key responsibilities will include:
* Assist in the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electromechanical systems.
* Support the installation and commissioning of new equipment and machinery.
* Learn and apply principles of electrical wiring, mechanical fitting, and control systems.
* Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
* Carry out routine inspections and preventative maintenance tasks under supervision.
* Participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
* Follow all site safety rules and procedures, including the use of PPE.
* Complete academic and practical assessments as part of the apprenticeship training.
* Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and learning progress.
About you
We would like to hear from you if you have:
* A Grade 4 or above in both Maths and English GCSE’s.
* A strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
* Full UK Driving License
* Ages 18+
* Practical awareness skills
* Are professional and detail-oriented
