Job Summary
Trademark Brothers is a growing brand protection consultancy supporting startups, agencies and scale-up businesses with UK and international trade mark protection.
We are seeking a Trade Mark Administrator / Paralegal to support the management of trade mark portfolios, filings and casework across multiple jurisdictions.
This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate with legal administration, IP support or paralegal experience to develop within a modern, commercially focused consultancy environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Preparing and filing UK and international trade mark applications
* Managing applications through examination, publication and registration
* Conducting trade mark clearance searches and preparing summary reports
* Monitoring deadlines including oppositions, office actions and renewals
* Maintaining accurate docketing and case management records
* Liaising with clients, overseas attorneys and IP offices (UKIPO, EUIPO, WIPO)
* Assisting with office action responses and opposition matters
* Supporting enforcement and dispute case preparation
* Drafting client correspondence and status updates
* Assisting with onboarding new clients and matter intake processes
* Updating CRM and workflow systems to maintain operational efficiency
Essential Skills & Experience
* Strong administrative and organisational skills
* High level of accuracy and attention to detail
* Ability to manage multiple deadlines and competing priorities
* Professional written and verbal communication skills
* Experience handling legal documentation or case files
* Confident using databases and document management systems
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Desirable Experience
* Trade mark administration or IP paralegal experience
* Experience filing via UKIPO, EUIPO or WIPO systems
* Familiarity with docketing / IP management software
* Legal practice or professional services background
* Exposure to brand protection or intellectual property work
Person specification
Qualifications (advantageous, not essential)
* Law degree or related qualification
* Paralegal certification
* IP or trade mark administrator training
* Experience within a law firm, IP consultancy or brand agency
