Michael Page are seeking an Assistant Management Accountant to join a fast-growing finance team in Manchester. This role will support the finance department with management accounting tasks and reporting.

Description
The key responsibilities of an Assistant Management Accountant will include:
* Assist in preparing monthly management accounts and financial reports.
* Support the budgeting and forecasting process with accurate data and analysis.
* Reconcile accounts and ensure financial records are up to date.
* Provide support with variance analysis and cost control initiatives.
* Collaborate with other departments to gather information for financial reporting.
* Maintain and improve internal controls and compliance processes.
* Assist in preparing for audits and liaising with auditors as needed.
* Contribute to ad hoc financial projects and tasks as required.
Profile
The successful Assistant Management Accountant will:
* Be actively studying AAT / ACA / ACCA / CIMA.
* Have a proven track record in a similar role with some exposure to month-end.
* Have working knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel.
* Have an understanding of accounting software such as Xero, Quickbooks, Sage etc.
* Be an excellent written and verbal communicator.
