AWS Cloud Engineer
Health Innovation East has an exciting opportunity for an AWS Cloud Engineer to join our rapidly expanding Health Informatics team.
Hours of work: 37.5hrs/week (full time)
Terms: 12-month fixed term
Salary: £59,675 – £69,164

Responsibilities
The Health Informatics team has specialist skills in delivering complex, technical programmes of work that include providing secure environments for storing and accessing health and other sensitive data to support health and care delivery, research, and innovation.
We are looking for someone who has specialist skills in implementing DevOps throughout the development lifecycle of projects. This will include furthering automation through CI/CD pipelines, serverless functions and IaC tooling, extending user‑facing functionality, improving operational processes and identifying alternate approaches to data flow within the platform. The post bolder will act as both a subject matter expert and hands‑on engineer.
A significant portion of this role will be supporting the Eastern England Secure Data Environment (SDE) – part of an interoperable NHS Research Secure Data Environment network, giving approved researchers secure access to de‑identified NHS healthcare data, for approved projects. The SDE utilises AWS Research and Engineering Studio as the user-facing environment.
