Fixed Term - 6 months
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and enthusiastic person to join the therapy team working across our community bed bases in Bolton supporting with patient transport.
The role will predominantly involve driving the therapy van to facilitate discharges, and will include therapy assistant duties when required by the service. The post holder will be expected to work a 7-day roster.
We have a strong emphasis on staff wellbeing and training. If you are successful, you will be supported to develop professionally and provided with regular supervision to support your development and well-being.
Main duties of the job
As a member of the wider multidisciplinary team, you will work alongside and support specialist therapy staff in transporting patients to and from destinations.
The purpose of this role is to support the therapist(s) to ensure patients receive the best care possible.
The main duties include preparing the vehicle for use and transporting patients to and from hospital, our bedded units, and patients' homes. You will also support patients with access.
You will undertake therapy assistant duties as required by the service, under the guidance of therapy staff, and undertake administrative tasks related to the workload.

The Integrated Community Services Division aims to reduce hospital attendances and admissions by responding to health and social care issues in the community. This includes providing intensive therapy and reablement packages to support patient independence. We employ over 1000 staff delivering more than 40 services, including IV therapy, diabetes care, and support for homeless and vulnerable adults.
