What is the role?
As a Quantity Surveyor at London Gatwick you will work on the full project life cycle of large‑scale Civil Engineering infrastructure projects across the Major Projects programme with a focus on delivering value to passengers.
What will you do?
* Develop and maintain cost plans and estimates for projects up to £10 million.
* Support senior Quantity Surveyors on larger value projects.
* Manage project budgets and ensure value for money.
* Handle all contract communication (Early Warnings, Project Manager’s Instructions, Compensation Events, Contractor notifications).
* Negotiate and manage potential disputes; provide collaborative solutions.
* Assist in the tendering and evaluation process, selecting procurement strategies, producing pre‑tender estimates.
What qualifications do we require?
* Previous experience in cost engineering, contract management or a commercial role within construction or infrastructure projects typically over £10 million.
* Quantity Surveying degree or equivalent in a relevant engineering, construction, or business‑related field.
* Full working knowledge of web‑based contract management tools (e.g., Cemar).
* Thorough understanding of the NEC and JCT suite of contracts and associated administration and negotiations.
