Electrician - Social Housing Repairs & Maintenance
£38,000 - £42,000 per annum | Permanent | Full Time | 40 Hours per Week
The Role
As an Electrician, you will be responsible for carrying out a variety of electrical repairs, testing, inspection, and installation works within occupied and void residential properties. Working as part of a dedicated maintenance team, you will play a key role in delivering a high‑quality service to residents while ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with current regulations.
Key Responsibilities
* Carrying out electrical repairs and fault finding
* Completing electrical installation works
* Undertaking EICR testing and inspections
* Delivering planned and reactive maintenance
* Ensuring compliance with current electrical regulations
* Providing excellent customer service within residents' homes
* Accurately recording completed works and compliance documentation
About You
The successful candidate will have previous experience working within a domestic or social housing environment and be confident working independently to diagnose faults and provide effective solutions.
Essential Qualifications & Experience
* NVQ Level 3 in Electrotechnical Services (Electrical Installation - Buildings & Structures) or equivalent
* Level 3 Certificate/Diploma in Electrotechnical Technology
* 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671)
* City & Guilds 2391 Inspection & Testing (or equivalent)
* ECS Gold Card
* Proven experience carrying out domestic electrical repairs, testing, and installations
* Full UK Driving Licence (held for a minimum of 12 months)
