Job Description:
Purpose
The Mechanical Supervisor is a key role within the Maintenance team to support the safe operation of assets, plant productivity, and reliability. As the Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor, you will:
* Report directly to the Maintenance Manager and oversee Mechanical Technicians and Mechanical Shift Maintenance Technicians.
* Be responsible for all mechanical maintenance tasks, ensuring safety standards and industry regulations are followed, supporting a top-tier COMAH Site.
* Work closely with operations to maintain ISO standards and cGMP requirements, including contamination prevention.
* Manage all Mechanical Maintenance activities, ensuring tasks are completed safely and timely, collaborating with Planning & Scheduling and Site Engineers to enhance plant reliability.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities
* Ensure Health, Safety, and Environmental standards are maintained during all work activities.
* Manage the Mechanical Maintenance team, including work allocation, reviewing work packs, and ensuring RAMS are adequate.
* Track work progress, manage work orders in the CMMS, and ensure timely completion of maintenance tasks.
* Handle administrative responsibilities such as timekeeping, holidays, disciplinary matters, and supporting the Maintenance Manager.
* Collaborate with the Maintenance Planner to develop job packs, RAMS, and schedules.
* Participate in root cause analyses and continuous improvement activities to enhance equipment performance and reliability.
SHEQ
* Ensure compliance with Environmental, Health & Safety requirements during maintenance tasks.
* Promote a safety-first culture within the team.
* Report accidents, near misses, and suggest improvements.
Equipment Management
* Ensure timely completion of PMs, compliance, and regulatory work orders.
* Supervise Maintenance Technicians, prioritize work, and support projects and changeovers.
* Coordinate with OEM contractors for inspections and future PM planning.
