About the Role:
We are currently seeking an experiencedFreelance Section Engineerfor a 1-year civils project based inPlymouth. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a major infrastructure development, contributing to the successful delivery of complex and high-profile civil engineering works.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee and manage sections of site construction works, ensuring adherence to project plans and timelines
* Coordinate subcontractors, materials, and equipment
* Interpret technical drawings and ensure works are carried out in line with specifications
* Monitor health and safety compliance and promote best practices on site
* Conduct site inspections and manage quality control procedures
* Prepare and maintain site records, including daily diaries and progress reports
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Section Engineer on large-scale civil engineering projects
* Strong knowledge of construction processes, technical standards, and health and safety regulations
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
* Excellent communication and team coordination skills
* Relevant degree or qualification in Civil Engineering or related field
* CSCS card required; SMSTS or SSSTS preferred
