Casio Electronics Co. Limited is seeking a reliable and proactive Junior Credit Controller to join our team. This role is expected to be fully onsite for first 6 months (probation period) for training purposes. After which this will be reviewed for potential hybrid working (3 days in office and 2 days WFH) based upon performance and business requirements.
Responsibilities
1. Manage a portfolio of customer accounts and receivable ledger, ensuring timely payments and minimising bad debt. This includes but is not limited to ledgers on the A-L list customers, ad hoc accounts and the education school ledger.
2. Responsible for reconciling the daily online/web consumer ledger ensuring all sales, receipts and refunds are matched and posted correctly.
3. Shared responsibility of reconciling month end payments from a variety of payment sources i.e. Direct Debits, PayPal, Klarna, Braintree and Casio Ecomm sales.
4. Monitoring daily transactions and posting payments to customer accounts - all method of payments: bacs, credit card, shop, Klarna, Braintree, etc.
5. Establish beneficial relationships with external stakeholders via phone/emails in order to maximise collections and pro-actively resolve any potential queries in a timely manner.
6. Work towards improving the collection cycle process by continually to reduce aged and bad debt and ensuring that debt is kept to a minimum.
7. Liaise and collaborate with other company departments within to ensure excellent service is provided to the end consumer or business customer.
8. Have a general understanding or be willing to learn about customer’s T&C’s for rebates and marketing for COOP Support.
9. Day to day financial management of the G-Shock London store including cash posting and credit card issues.
10. Distributing copy invoices, statements and reminders to customers, ensuring thorough and timely reporting to customers to prevent any delays.
11. Prepare relevant journals for the Finance team.
12. Entry of various types of credit and debit notes on the system. Processing credit status report with external credit agencies.
13. Opening new accounts, maintaining the address book administering any changes.
14. Support the Credit Manager and Senior Credit Controller in aid to develop robust credit control procedures.
15. Flexible approach to any changes in a dynamic working practices/systems.
16. Any ad hoc administrative tasks and assistance as required.
Requirements
17. Demonstrable experience in a similar credit control or accounts receivable role
18. Understanding of basic bookkeeping and double-entries
19. Strong numerical skills
20. Good organisation skills with great attention to details
21. Ability to work independently and prioritise workload
22. Proactive approach, resilience and ability to manage tasks of shifting priorities
23. Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and DocuSign
24. AAT, Institute of Credit Management (CICM) or Accounting qualification would be desirable
25. Previous experience with JDE or Enterprise 1 would be desirable
