Your opportunity
As a Client Portfolio Manager within the Fixed Income Securitised team, you will play a central role in representing the investment strategy and capabilities of Janus Henderson to internal and external stakeholders. Working closely with Portfolio Managers, analysts, and distribution partners, you will help ensure that investment insight, portfolio positioning, and longer‑term strategy are clearly articulated and consistently delivered.
* Support the continued development of Janus Henderson’s securitised investment platform through proactive engagement with clients, prospects, and internal sales partners
* Partner with Client Portfolio Management leadership to contribute to the development and communication of longer‑term business priorities and objectives
* Responsible for driving the commercial success of covered products through business plan ownership, completion and implementation
* Act as a key representative and advocate for the Portfolio Managers internally and externally, demonstrating deep expertise in articulating investment philosophy, process, portfolio positioning, performance, and attribution
* Participate in regular investment discussions with Portfolio Managers and analysts to remain closely connected to strategy development, risk considerations, and market dynamics
* Work with Portfolio Managers to ensure investment strategies remain aligned with client expectations and guidelines across market environments, helping deliver a high‑quality and consistent client experience
* Contribute to distribution and client engagement activities supporting new business and asset retention, including internal strategy discussions, client meetings, RFP reviews for bespoke or large mandates, and PR‑related initiatives
* Provide the investment perspective into product messaging, marketing strategy, and the development of high‑quality client‑facing materials and collateral
* Represent Janus Henderson Investors across the industry, helping to build the firm’s reputation and profile through participation in client conferences, industry events, and investment panels
* Engage with Product Development on the future evolution of the securitised product set, including competitor analysis, fee considerations, and positioning
* Support client prospecting initiatives across geographies and distribution channels, as required
* Undertake additional responsibilities aligned with the role as needed

Must have skills
* Strong understanding of global securitised credit markets, including CLOs, ABS, mortgage‑backed securities, commercial mortgages, and residential credit
* Ability to analyse and interpret portfolio performance and attribution data to support client communications and internal decision‑making; familiarity with securitised modelling techniques and systems
* Ability to develop clear, data‑driven objectives, understand potential obstacles, and contribute thoughtful, pragmatic solutions
* Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging for different client types and present confidently to varied audiences
* Proven ability to work effectively across Portfolio Managers, Product Specialists, Product Development, Investment Specialists, and Distribution teams, building trust through clear communication
* Comfortable operating in dynamic market environments and proactive in identifying innovative approaches to support clients and colleagues
* A collaborative mindset with the ability to contribute positively within a team environment
* Willingness to travel as required
Nice to have skills
* Previous experience as an analyst, portfolio manager, trader, or client portfolio manager within securitised credit markets
* MBA, advanced degree, or CFA charterholder (or progress toward CFA) preferred
* Strong experience in presentation development and delivery, including client‑ready materials
* Advanced proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
* Experience gathering, analysing, and interpreting data from institutional platforms and systems, including Bloomberg, Intex, YieldBook, FactSet, Wilshire, Zephyr, InvestorForce‑PSN, and Callan PEP

Annual Bonus Opportunity: Position may be eligible to receive an annual discretionary bonus award from the profit pool. The profit pool is funded based on Company profits. Individual bonuses are determined based on Company, department, team and individual performance.
