We are currently recruiting for a Hatchery Operative based at North Antrim Hatchery. As a Hatchery Operative you will be a member of a team of hatchery operatives, reporting to the management team. Effective liaison, team working and interaction with other operatives and supervisory staff is essential. The job is performed mainly in a comfortable hatchery environment and involves extensive periods standing. The employee is required to operate effectively; processing, packing, boxing, labelling and counting product as required. It is imperative that the employee is aware of health and safety regulations and adheres to them. The hours of work are Tuesday to Friday 7am- 15:30pm, and Saturday 6am-1:30pm. Essential Must be literate and numerate. Must be able to think clearly. Must be able to work as a team member Must have a positive attitude to work and others Good manual dexterity is essential. Good communication skills are desirable. The ability to work on own initiative and learn new skills is desirable. Previous hatchery and/or production and/or livestock and/or cleaning experience is desirable.
