A privately owned SME in Lincoln is seeking a hands-on Finance Manager to take ownership of the day‑to‑day finance function. This is a newly created role within a £2m turnover business with clear growth ambitions, offering the chance to make a real impact and shape how finance supports the next phase of development.
Working three or four days per week, you’ll be the go‑to person for all financial operations — ideal for someone who enjoys variety, autonomy, and being close to the detail.
The role
You’ll be responsible for managing the full finance cycle, including:
Processing sales and purchase invoices
Allocating receipts and payments
Posting journals and maintaining accurate ledgers
Bank reconciliations
Preparing monthly management accounts
Chasing outstanding debt
Completing VAT returns
Managing the relationship with the bank
Supporting additional tasks such as overseeing outsourced payroll
Overseeing 2 direct reports
About you

Experience in bookkeeping or a similar hands-on finance role
Qualification status flexible - fully qualified, part qualified or QBE all considered
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
