WHAT WILL YOU DO?
As a Sales Engineer, your mission is to deliver exceptional pre-sales engineering support to our partners and customers. By developing strong relationships as a trusted advisor, you help us drive sales growth and customer satisfaction. You will work closely with our sales and marketing teams. Your responsibilities include product demos, project design support, events, customer meetings, and supporting colleagues and partners on technical and product-related matters. In this role, you'll learn about our latest products and solutions across various applications, from security to industrial projects. You will work daily with our products, partners, and customers.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Deliver project design support by designing technical solutions that meet customer needs.
* Act as a trusted technical advisor and expert on technical and Axis product-related matters.
* Demonstrate, configure, and set up Axis solutions for proof of concepts and demos.
* Participate in trade shows, customer meetings, and events to represent the company.
* Enable product sales by showcasing strong business acumen.
* Continuously develop your skills and expertise.
* Collaborate actively with partners and colleagues on events, projects, and customer activities.
* Stay updated on the latest industry developments.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We seek an enthusiastic engineer passionate about technology, customers, and business. You should enjoy helping partners find the best Axis solutions to meet customer needs in security and beyond. You are a team player with a results-driven mindset. You can deliver inspiring presentations and explain complex technical topics to diverse audiences. Ideally, you have experience in pre-sales, especially within the CCTV or IT industry. You should be knowledgeable about networking, IP-based technologies, and have some experience with APIs and programming. You are a quick learner, curious, creative, and passionate about technology.
This role involves frequent travel throughout Northern UK & Scotland, with occasional UK-wide and international travel.
Additional qualifications and experience include:
* Degree in computer science or engineering (preferred).
* At least 5 years of experience in a technical role within the IT or security industry.
* Experience working in a fast-paced sales environment.
* Some programming and API experience.
* Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
* Knowledge of network infrastructure is a plus.
