About the RoleA leading facilities management provider is seeking an experienced Multi‑Skilled Electrical Engineer to support a large‑scale, high‑volume logistics and fulfilment operation in the Doncaster area. This role focuses on ensuring the reliable operation of critical building services, plant, automation assets and site infrastructure through effective planned and reactive maintenance.
Key ResponsibilitiesPlanned & Reactive Maintenance
1. Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across electrical and mechanical building systems.
2. Respond promptly to reactive maintenance, prioritising urgent tasks to support continuous site operations.
3. Diagnose and resolve electrical faults efficiently, ensuring downtime is kept to a minimum.
Technical Duties
4. Perform electrical repairs, inspections and system testing across site equipment.
5. Work on electrical circuits, control panels, distribution boards, conveyor systems, automation technology and general M&E plant.
6. Support mechanical tasks wherepetent, contributing to a multi‑skilled engineering approach.
7. Conduct site surveys and prepare risk assessments, method statements and technical reports when needed.
Safety &pliance
8. Follow allpany and onsite safety procedures, ensuring safe working at all times.
9. Identify and report any potential hazards, defects or nonpliant conditions.
10. Ensure works are carried out in accordance with relevant engineering regulations and industry standards.
Stakeholder Interaction
11. Liaise professionally with onsite operational teams and internal colleagues.
12. Support subcontractors and ensure quality, safety andpliance standards are upheld.
13. Represent the engineering function with professionalism, reliability and customer focus.
Person SpecificationEssential
14. Recognised electrical engineering qualification (, NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds).
15. 18th Edition Electrical Wiring Regulations certification.
16. Strong background in electrical maintenance withinmercial, industrial or logistics settings.
17. Proven experience in electrical fault‑finding and problem resolution.
18. Good understanding of building services, plant operation and safe working practices.
19. Full UK Driving Licence.
20. Confidentmunication and ability to work independently.
Desirable
21. Additional mechanical skills or previous multi‑skilled engineering roles.
22. Experience with BMS, HVAC, automation systems, conveyors or large distribution environments.
23. Health & Safety qualifications (IOSH, NEBOSH, COSHH awareness, etc.).
24. Previous engineering work within high‑volume, fast‑paced operational environments.
