Job Overview
We are seeking a Consultant in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Frimley Park Hospital.
The role involves approximately 10/11 Programmed Activities (PAs), including weekly labour ward daytime resident consultant sessions, antenatal clinics, obstetric governance, quality work, and a bi-weekly 12-hour shift on the Emergency Gynaecology Unit (EPU). There are opportunities for outpatient and theatre sessions. Currently, this position is on the resident consultant night rota.
Main Duties
The main responsibilities include:
* Weekly labour ward consultant sessions
* Weekly antenatal clinics
* Obstetric governance and quality improvement
* Fortnightly 12-hour shifts on the EPU
* Potentially taking over the EPU lead role, depending on experience

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Entry on the Specialist Register (CCT or within 6 months of interview) or pending entry for Mediated Entrants
* MRCOG or equivalent
* ATSM in Advanced Labour Ward Practice and Benign Gynaecology (open and laparoscopic surgery)
Competencies
* Self-evaluation of clinical practice
* Innovative thinking
* Service organization and development
* Commitment to Continuing Medical Education
Experience
* Expert clinical opinion in emergency and elective Obstetrics & Gynaecology
* UK CCT or equivalent training
* Experience with audit and teaching
