Community Mental Health Support Worker – Midlands Partnership NHS Foundation Trust
The role is a Band 3 Community Mental Health Support Worker based in Lichfield. It is a full‑time permanent position (3 shifts 9am‑9pm, 2 shifts 9am‑5pm every four weeks) that includes weekends and bank holidays.

Essential Responsibilities
* Provide direct support and therapeutic engagement to a designated group of children, young people and their families with mental health needs.
* Promote recovery and support young people to remain engaged in education, maintain social relationships and participate in their communities.
* Work with the Care Coordinator or Lead Professional to assess, plan, implement and review individualised care plans, including risk management.
* Deliver and monitor therapeutic interventions in line with the care plan to achieve recovery goals, improving activities of daily living, social inclusion, meaningful occupation, mental and physical health promotion.
* Assist service users to access activities and services that maintain independence and further recovery.
* Collaborate with other Trust services and external partner agencies to ensure seamless care for CYP supported by the Crisis and Intensive Support Team.
* Travel across a wide geographical area; must have a valid driving licence and business‑car insurance.
Required Qualifications & Training
* Advanced Apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 in (Mental) Health and Social Care with evidence of numeracy and literacy (equivalent to GCSE or Functional Skills).
* Health and social care qualification at least equivalent to the above that demonstrates the necessary knowledge, skills and competence.
Experience
* Experience working with CYP with mental health needs.
* Experience as a member of a multidisciplinary community team supporting CYP.
* Experience co‑facilitating group‑based interventions.
