As a Chef de Partie, you will assist in running an efficient and profitable kitchen, using quality ingredients to inspire flavorful menus and prepare attractive food. You will prepare and cook dishes with guidance from the Head Chef or Senior Chef. What will I be doing?
As a Chef de Partie at Saunton Sands Hotel, you will perform tasks and follow instructions given by a Head or Senior Chef. You are responsible for maintaining your kitchen station and equipment throughout your shift, showing a willingness to progress and deliver customer satisfaction through the dishes you prepare. Specifically, you will be responsible for:
* Ordering quality fresh and frozen food for daily and specific needs.
* Completing requisitions and keeping necessary stocktake records.
* Storing deliveries correctly and promptly, being the keeper of keys.
* Maintaining your kitchen area and equipment in a hygienic condition.
* Preparing and envisioning varying menus, which may change daily.
* Delivering speedy service while ensuring food quality and presentation.
* Considering portion control to minimize waste.
* Understanding and complying with company policies on HASAWA, HACCP, fire precautions, and legal requirements.
* Establishing good relationships with kitchen staff and other hotel staff to assist in delivering excellent service.
* Being flexible to work in other Brend establishments to expand your knowledge.
