Working within the Product Development Department as part of the Advance Design team, creating conceptual and practical designs for future New Product Development (NPD) projects.
* Support the aesthetic development of interior and exterior design of Leisure Vehicles. This includes supporting the Lead Designer in the creation design specifications and ensuring adherence to this document throughout the project development.
* Creation of spatial layouts, key specification documents and visual creation that require creativity and attention to detail.
* Design input to interior and exterior elements that fulfil the project requirements.
* Support the Advance Design Manager to determine future product requirements through market research and competitor studies.
* Monitor future trends within and outside the industry to aid in developing future products.
* Work with the Procurement, Manufacturing, and external suppliers to identify, develop and evaluate new components and materials.
* Work with the Design Engineering team to develop concepts into production.
* Working with the PD team to create mock ups and prototypes, ensuring design ideas are feasible.
* Support departmental administration.
* Proactively seek improvements in products and processes.
* Working within the guidelines of Departmental and Company: Policies, Procedures and Work Instructions.
* Good standard of general education. Ideally BA(Hons)/ BSc(Hons) in a relevant design discipline, such as Product or Interior design.
* Preferably at least 1 year of work experience in a relevant role.
* Good interpersonal communication skills for working with internal and external .
* Ability to communicate visual design ideas through sketching and CAD.
* Familiarity with working in multi-disciplinary teams.
* Ability to communicate with representatives at any level or position within the company.
* Highly motivated with the ability to focus on details as well as the big picture.
* Highly responsible team player, with ability to impact & influence.
* Decision making & problem solving; ability for detecting problems and opportunities for improvement and for implementing corrective / preventative actions.
* Adaptable to project demands.
* Strong organisational skills, self-motivated and ability to work to plan.
* CAD skills (Solidworks and KeyShot preferable).
* Adobe Creative Cloud experience - Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign.
* Good Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
* Adherence to all health and safety procedures.
