Overview
Senior Pharmacy Technician based in the dispensary at our Aintree site. The role requires leadership, training, and a patient‑focused service. There may be rotation across LUHFT sites.
Responsibilities
* Supervise the work of pharmacy assistants, technicians and students, ensuring work is prioritised appropriately.
* Play a key role in training and development of staff to maintain high quality and standards of work.
* Provide an efficient, patient‑focused service in the dispensaries, alongside pharmacy assistants, pharmacy technicians and pharmacists.
* Demonstrate leadership qualities and uphold professional standards in a hospital pharmacy environment.
* Participate in evening, weekend, and Bank Holiday working in keeping with Pharmacy Directorate arrangements and the needs of the Trust.
* Be flexible to rotate across all sites of LUHFT as required.
Qualifications / Requirements
* Experience as a final accuracy checking pharmacy technician with significant hospital pharmacy experience.
* Strong leadership qualities, broad hospital pharmacy experience, and knowledge and understanding of working in a hospital.
* Enthusiastic, motivated, and able to work to professional standards to provide an efficient, patient‑focused service.
* Excellent communication skills, high attention to detail, and flexibility to work within dispensaries with pharmacists, technicians, and assistants.
