We run IT support operations primarily in-person, because that solves the user’s problem quicker, and gives a great social experience at the same time. We have a Mac laptop fleet and Linux desktops, with a mix of on-premises and cloud infrastructure. In this role you’ll deliver world class support for them all, within a fast-moving, innovative technology company.Duties
1. Providing internal in-person support for Thought Machine employees in London and remote support to employees in international offices
2. Provisioning and deploying hardware for new and existing employees
3. Managing the stock levels and lifecycle of IT hardware
4. Checking and maintaining meeting room and other office IT equipment
5. Supporting events for both employees and external visitors
6. Partnering with the other members of the global IT team to provide seamless support
7. Contributing to infrastructure improvements with other members of the team or as independent projects


Requirements

Essential
8. Experience with Linux or Mac OS (ideally both)
9. Experience troubleshooting hardware and software
10. Solid understanding of networking concepts
Desirable
11. Experience in delivering technical support, including at executive level
12. Experience working in a customer-facing role
13. Familiarity with Mobile Device Management systems like JAMF Pro
14. Experience with network troubleshooting
15. Audio Visual experience, preferably Google Meet
16. Google Workspace applications and administration
17. Bash and/or Python Scripting
18. Experience with hardware or software procurement and inventory management
