Job Title: Targeted Housing Advisor Location: South London, Sutton Contract: Temporary (Ongoing) Hours: 36 hours per week Rate: £28 per hour (Umbrella) Social Housing Experience Required Daniel Owen are proud to be representing a well-known company based in the South London, Sutton area who are looking for a highly skilled Targeted Housing Advisor to join their team. Key Responsibilities - Targeted Housing Advisor: Provide specialist housing advice to residents at risk of homelessness. Assess homelessness applications in line with Part 6 and Part 7 of the Housing Act 1996, as amended by the Homelessness Reduction Act 2018. Progress cases through Prevention and Relief Duty, supporting residents to secure and maintain accommodation. Issue Section 184 decisions and develop meaningful Personal Housing Plans (PHPs). Provide advice on security of tenure, welfare benefits, and homelessness prevention strategies. Work closely with internal teams and external partner agencies to achieve positive housing outcomes. Assess and support applicants experiencing domestic abuse in line with the Domestic Abuse Act 2021. Maintain accurate case notes and provide excellent customer service. Requirements: Strong knowledge of homelessness legislation and housing law. Experience issuing S184 decisions and creating Personal Housing Plans. Excellent communication, case management, and customer service skills.
