We are now recruiting for the exciting role of E3S Case Author, to be involved in the compliance for game changing technology within the nuclear industry.
To author the Environment, Safety, Security and Safeguards (E3S) Case for the Rolls-Royce SMR for regulatory assessment in the UK Generic Design Assessment (GDA) process and to support production of customer Cases and Safety Analysis Reports.
Key Results & Achievements
* Authoring key E3S Case and Safety Analysis Report documents in accordance with relevant arrangements and methodologies, ensuring that documents are subjected to the appropriate level of quality assurance and governance.
* Developing and maintaining individual plans for production of documents.
* Submission of documents to regulators and customers in accordance with the agreed schedule.
* Supporting the E3S Case Manager with the ongoing management and configuration of the E3S Case and Safety Analysis Report.
* Supporting the development of the Claims, Arguments and Evidence (CAE) structure for the E3S Case.
* Providing guidance and direction to engineering and analysis stakeholders to ensure arguments and evidence are suitable to underpin the claims and meet the expectations of the E3S Case.
* Engaging with external regulators and customers on E3S topics.

* A good understanding of the development of safety analysis reports and/or environmental permitting regulations and associated permit requirements/conditions or nuclear safety or security requirements in one or more countries.
* Experience of the civil nuclear regulatory regime in the UK or another country.
Technical Report Writing
* Experienced in authoring highly technical reports and submitting through multiple levels of governance, such as independent peer reviews, safety and/or environmental committees.
* Taking ownership of documentation and ensuring quality of documentation.
Stakeholder Engagement
* Experience of engaging and interfacing with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders on similar scale projects.
Training & Qualification Requirements
* Chartered or working towards Chartered status with a professional engineering, or equivalent, body.

Pay and benefits
We anticipate paying a salary of between £40,000 - £52,500 DOE plus:-
· Bonus - Performance related target opportunity 12.5%
· Benefits Allowance – £2,200 per annum, enabling you to create a bespoke package
· Pension - 12% employer and 6% employee contributions.
· Holidays - 28 days holiday (+ public holidays) and the ability to buy or sell up to 4 days.
· Private Medical Insurance - BUPA single cover health care
· Life Assurance - 6x pensionable pay
· £250 - One-off payment for new starters for home office purchases
