Hinckley Motor Spares is a family‑run motor factors business, proudly serving the local community and garages for over 10 years. As our trade customer base continues to grow, we're looking for a reliable and friendly Delivery Driver to join our team.
This role is ideal for someone with a positive mindset, a natural smile, and a genuine desire to build great relationships with our customers. Attention to detail and pride in your work are essential.
Key Responsibilities
* Pick vehicle parts from the shelf ready for delivery
* Organise parts in the correct order for efficient delivery routes
* Communicate your delivery route with the team
* Deliver parts quickly and efficiently using one of our company vans
* Follow our delivery and returns protocol (WhatsApp Delivery Chat)
* Collect customer returns and complete the returns book/returns process
* Take cash and card payments when required
* Support with occasional paperwork and front‑counter service
* Drive safely and courteously, following the Road Traffic Act and company procedures
* Report any licence endorsements or pending prosecutions immediately
* Keep the vehicle clean and carry out weekly checks (oil, water, battery, lights, tyres, fuel)
* Report any new vehicle damage promptly
* Assist with general warehouse duties, including goods‑in, checking deliveries, and putting stock away
* Support management with any additional tasks when not delivering
* Heavy lifting is required
Hours
* Monday to Friday: 9.00am – 5.00pm
* One Saturday per month: 9.00am – 4.00pm
* Contracted hours: 25–45 hours per week
* Hours may be reduced during quieter periods or at management discretion
Skills & Experience
* Clean Full UK Driving Licence
* Previous van driving or similar experience preferred
* Ability to lift heavy items and carry out physical tasks
* Age 25+ (insurance requirement)
