The Seasons Art Class Margate is part of the franchise The Seasons Art Class UK. We have been running for over 13 years now and have over 150 branches in the UK and also now abroad in Europe and New Zealand.
My class runs once a week, with 2 lessons in the morning and afternoon on a Tuesday each week. The class runs 3 times a year for 14 weeks at a time, almost in line with the school term times.
Role Description
This is a part time on-site role for an Art Tutor at The Seasons Art Class, located in Westgate on Sea. The Art Tutor will be responsible for teaching art classes to students of various skill levels, lesson plans are provided along with a curriculum for each term, and providing individualized feedback and support.
You need to be available from 9am in the morning till 6pm in the evening.
Additional responsibilities include helping preparing classroom materials, set up of the venue each week with the tables and chairs, and fostering a creative and inclusive environment for all students.
You will be supported by a manager who also helps to teach and manages the students each week.
This is a self employed position.
Qualifications
* Strong skills in various art techniques, including drawing, oil pastels, watercolours and acrylics
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Respectful and supportive attitude
* Ability to provide constructive feedback and support to students
* Good organizational skills and attention to detail
* Patience and the ability to inspire and motivate students
* Previous teaching experience is a must
* Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts, Art Education, or related field
