Job Description
Working for the Council’s Home Care Service, you will provide direct personal care to older people in their own homes across Midlothian, providing a range of support to enable and promote independence.
It is essential that you can work evenings and/or weekends. It is desirable you have experience of care work and preference will be given to candidates possessing an SVQ2 qualification in Social Care. The ability to respond to situations in a calm and flexible way is essential. Proven experience of caring for people with a range of complex needs; and experience of working without direct supervision in a situation requiring self-reliance is desirable, as is access to a vehicle for work purposes.
