Role Description
You will be the Finance Director of this multi-million-pound social enterprise, responsible for all finance processes, treasury, associated internal and external reporting and compliance.
In addition, you will be an active member of our SLT, taking part in every week in key decisions affecting every aspect of the business.

Location:
Fully remote, anywhere in the UK
Travel about once month for in-person meetings with occasional overnight stays
Salary:
£70,000 + bonus, OTE £76,000

Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage all financial operations, including financial planning, analysis, reporting, and cash management
* Oversee financial transactions and processes, including bookkeeping, payroll administration, invoicing, and payment management, all of which are carried out by our remote finance team (India based)
* Lead our annual budgeting process
* Lead our annual audit process and be the first point of contact for our external auditors
* Take full ownership of the company’s insurance portfolio, including identifying coverage needs, managing renewals, working with brokers, and handle insurance claims
* Ownership of monthly management accounts to be presented to leadership team
* Handle statutory and tax compliance
* Contribute to the long-term business strategy as a key member of the leadership team
* Support your colleagues as needed with financial guidance
* Handle other responsibilities commensurate with your seniority and role

Person Specification:
* Dynamic, positive, contributing individual
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
* Exceptionally well organised and determined
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, target-driven environment with a proactive and solutions-oriented mindset
* Qualified Chartered Accountant or equivalent with at least 5 years post-qualification experience
* Strong understanding of budgeting and financial processes
* Entrepreneurial mindset that balances strategic vision with tactical execution
* Able to master the numbers and the details
* Keen to work in a remote environment and build positive working relationships through it

* Experience using Sage Intacct for financial reporting and process automation is desirable but not essential
