Deputy Manager – Mental Health, Autism & Learning Disabilities Service
Location: Birmingham
Hours: Monday – Friday, 9am–5pm
Must be a driver
Salary: £29 -30k per annum
Claire at Amber Mace is recruiting for a passionate and experienced Deputy Manager to join a small, person-centred service supporting adults with mental health conditions, autism, and learning disabilities.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Senior Support Worker, Team Leader, or existing Deputy looking to take the next step in their career within a supportive and forward-thinking care provider.
The Role
Support the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of the service.
Oversee a small staff team, providing leadership, mentoring, and supervision.
Take responsibility for rotas, audits, and quality monitoring.
Ensure the service operates in line with CQC standards and best practice.
Support with care planning, risk assessments, and safeguarding compliance.
Promote a culture focused on empowerment, dignity, and positive outcomes.
The Ideal Candidate
Experience supporting individuals with mental health needs, autism, and learning disabilities.
Strong leadership and organisational skills.
Confident completing rotas, audits, and staff supervisions.
Level 3 Health & Social Care qualification (Level 5 desirable or willing to work towards).
Excellent communication skills and a team-focused attitude.
Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
