About this opportunity
Cumberland Council is looking for a dedicated and compassionate Outreach and Respite Support Worker to support children aged 8 - 16 who are on the edge of care, returning home from care, or at risk of placement breakdown. In this varied and rewarding role, you’ll work directly with families, schools, and multi-agency teams to deliver therapeutic interventions, promote positive relationships, and provide short breaks in a residential setting.

We’re looking for someone with a NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in a relevant field, experience working with children and families, and a strong understanding of child development, safeguarding, and trauma-informed care. This role requires a DBS check. The level of check for this role is - Enhanced DBS Check with a Children’s Barred List check.
