About Us

The Connaught Hotel and Spa is a 4 star hotel located on Bournemouth's West Cliff. The hotel has 81 bedrooms as well as a contemporary brasserie, gin bar and lounge, plus function rooms catering for up to 120 guests.

Position Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and Hotel Operations Manager with strong F&B background to oversee the daily operations of our esteemed hotel. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in hospitality management, demonstrating exceptional leadership skills and a commitment to providing outstanding guest services. This role requires a proactive approach to managing hotel staff, ensuring high standards of service, and fostering an environment that promotes guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities

* Supervise daily hotel operations, ensuring all departments function smoothly and efficiently.
* Lead and motivate staff, providing guidance and support to foster a positive working environment.
* Oversee guest services, addressing any concerns or feedback promptly to enhance the overall guest experience.
* Manage human resources functions, including recruitment, training, and performance evaluations of hotel staff.
* Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to improve efficiency and service quality.
* Collaborate with various departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination of services.
* Monitor financial performance, including budgeting and cost control measures, to achieve operational goals.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations as well as hotel standards.

Requirements

* Previous hotel management experience essential, preferably with a strong F&B background
* Proven experience in hotel management or a similar supervisory role within the hospitality industry.
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage a diverse team effectively.
* Excellent guest service skills with a focus on creating memorable experiences for guests.
* Knowledge of human resources practices related to hiring, training, and employee development.
* Strong organisational skills with an attention to detail in managing hotel operations.
* Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as required by the business needs.
