Overview

Location: Northolt, Ealing

Role: SEN Teaching Assistant

Type of School: Mainstream Primary

Hours: Full-Time | Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM

Start Date: September

Pay: Competitive

Axcis Education is seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join an Outstanding mainstream primary school in Northolt, Ealing. The school is known for its nurturing and inclusive ethos, providing excellent support for pupils with a variety of special educational needs. This full-time role involves providing 1:1 support as well as small group support and delivering targeted group interventions for pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder, helping them thrive academically, socially, and emotionally within a structured environment.


Responsibilities

* Provide targeted 1:1 support aligned with individual EHCPs
* Deliver small group support and structured group interventions tailored to pupil needs
* Work closely with class teachers to plan and deliver tailored interventions
* Support the creation and updating of Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
* Promote the development of communication, social, and life skills
* Monitor pupil progress and share feedback with staff and parents
* Support pupils with profound and complex needs, including managing challenging behaviour and providing personal care when required


Requirements

* Essential: Experience using PECS
* Must have experience supporting children with profound and complex needs
* Must have experience managing challenging behaviour
* Must be confident providing personal care
* Experience supporting children with Autism, ideally in a primary school setting
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
