Nanny Job, Edinburgh
Greycoat Lumley’s client are seeking an experienced Nanny for a family in the Murrayfield area of Edinburgh. The location is easy to access by public transport or there is parking at the property.
The children are both under the age of 5 and Mum is returning to work at the end of the year after maternity leave. The family are looking for a Nanny to stay with them for a number of years and to provide consistency and longevity.
This role will suit applicants who are not only nurturing and joyful, but also loyal, proactive, and genuinely passionate about working with children.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Caring for the children, to create a warm, joyful atmosphere where the children feel safe, loved, and happy.
2. Attend local classes and playgroups to support social development
3. Provide gentle structure and maintain a consistent daily routine, reinforcing good manners and emotional security through kindness, play, and affection
4. Prepare healthy, home-cooked meals for the children
5. Help with light household tasks such as laundry, batch cooking, and general tidying related to the children
6. Light support with small family dog in the afternoons—such as a quick game of ball in the garden and putting out his dinner. Dog walker also takes the dog out.
This role will suit a Nanny who is a true team player who’s ready to dive in and be part of family life, enjoys the outdoors and is active, and engaged. A sunny disposition and genuine passion for working with children is a must.
Hours:
Monday – Friday for 1 week
Monday - Thursday the next week
Hours: 7.30am to 6.30pm
The role can be live in, with a bedroom, bathroom and living area on the top floor of the property.
Salary: £16.50 per hour
