The Bar Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the bar, ensuring excellent customer service, high-quality beverages, efficient staff performance, and strong financial results. This role combines leadership, creativity, and operational management.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage day-to-day bar operations, including opening and closing procedures
* Hire, train, schedule, and supervise bartenders and bar staff
* Ensure exceptional guest experience and handle customer concerns professionally
* Develop drink menus, cocktails, and promotions in line with brand standards
* Monitor inventory, place orders, and control costs and waste
* Ensure compliance with health, safety, and alcohol licensing regulations
* Maintain cleanliness, organization, and presentation of the bar
* Track sales, prepare reports, and meet revenue targets
* Coordinate with kitchen and management teams for smooth service
* Enforce responsible alcohol service policies
Skills & Qualifications
* Proven experience as a Bar Manager, Head Bartender, or similar role
* Strong leadership and team-management skills
* Excellent knowledge of beverages, cocktails, and bar equipment
* Customer-focused with strong communication skills
* Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
* Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
* Knowledge of local alcohol laws and safety regulations
