Now recruiting for a fast-growing product category, my client wishes to attract a UK Technical Sales Manager / Sales Specialist to focus on developing customers for their Electron Microscopy Instruments.

About The Role
Following the completion of your induction, you will be responsible for:
* Operating from a home office and covering the UK.
* Developing sales of my client's Electron Microscopes (value from £60K to £1.5m) within the Academia and Industrial markets.
* Delivering equipment demonstrations of both SEM and TEM instruments at my clients' UK Demo Centre, virtually via Teams and on customer site.
* Developing and growing sales pipeline by operating in a mixed 50% new business and 50% account management role.
* Selling in at Facility Manager, Professor, Electron Microscopy Manager, Quality Manager and Lab Manager level.
* Attending industry conferences and expos across the UK.
* Generating and attending both face-to-face and virtual meetings.
* Qualifying and responding to incoming inquiries and website leads.
* Generating leads by holding local workshops and understanding which customers have older instruments that need replacement.
* Working on annual sales objectives including instrument unit targets.
* Developing lasting relationships with customers.
About You
The successful candidate MUST possess experience and knowledge of electron microscopy, this will ideally be in a technical sales capacity, however, my client is willing to consider a technical individual should they demonstrate the sales ability and personality to secure new business in both industry and academia. An Electron Microscopy Applications Engineer or Product Specialist with the personality to transition into a technical commercial role would be considered.
An education within a scientific or engineering field such as Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Biological Sciences, or Material Science would be highly advantageous, but not essential, should somebody possess proven sales success within the electron microscopy market.
Other key skills required include:
* Valid driving license.
* Self-motivation with the inner drive to be successful.
* Comfortable communicating at all levels.
* Resourceful with the ability to generate client appointments.
* The rights to work in the UK (My client doesn’t offer sponsorship).
* Team player with a willingness to learn and travel.
