The Borgen Project believes that leaders of the most powerful nations on earth should be doing more to address global poverty. The national campaign is working to make poverty a focus of U.S. and U.K. foreign policy.

The Borgen Project is an international organization that works at the political level to improve living conditions for people impacted by war, famine, and poverty.
With 20 years of experience in advocacy, The Borgen Project has supported the passage of numerous bills benefiting close to 500 million people in developing countries.
Nonprofit Leadership Programme
This role provides insight into key skills required to lead and develop a nonprofit organization. It is a part-time, 12-hours-per-week, 12-week unpaid remote program. If your availability is limited, you can work ahead to complete the program in fewer weeks.
Program Components
1. Advocacy Leadership Development: Meet with government members in your district; represent The Borgen Project at various events; mobilize individuals to contact their government representatives in support of poverty-reduction legislation.
2. Fundraising Development: Learn to fundraise by creating a personal campaign and meeting targets.
3. Recruitment: Update job postings, inform groups about openings, learn about recruitment platforms, and participate in interviews.
4. Marketing and Promotion: Pitch story ideas to media outlets, utilize social media, and develop web messaging strategies.
Experience: No prior experience necessary. We seek individuals passionate about fighting poverty and advocating for change, regardless of background or GPA.
Details: This is an unpaid internship; college credit may be available.
Start Date: Programs start monthly; you may choose your preferred start month.
