VAT Specialist | Top 50 Firm | London
Responsibilities
* Serve as the primary technical point of contact for clients and internal teams regarding complex VAT queries
* Provide expert advice on international transactions, group structures, and cross-border trade implications.
* Draft and review detailed VAT advisory notes and technical reports for a diverse portfolio of clients.
* Liaise directly with HMRC to manage client VAT inspections and formal enquiries.
* Lead on VAT due diligence and structuring projects for high-value corporate transactions.
* Manage a diverse portfolio of VAT clients across sectors like property and financial services.
* Support the VAT Partner on high-level consultancy projects and business development.
* Work closely with the compliance team to identify risks and ensure technical accuracy in complex filings.
* Assist with year-end VAT audit queries for large corporate groups.
* Take an active role in identifying new service opportunities within the existing client base
