Morgan Philips is partnering with a leading energy organisation to recruit a highly motivated Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) Analyst. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing specialist team at the forefront of global sustainable aviation fuel development, certification, and compliance.
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting SAF sustainability processes, mass‑balance inventory management, regulatory reporting, and Book & Claim administration. This position is ideal for a graduate or early‑career professional with strong analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail, and an interest in aviation, energy transition, or sustainability compliance.
This role is predominantly office‑based in Surrey (4 days per week on-site, 1 day from home) due to the close collaboration required with Supply, Logistics, Operations, and Sustainability teams.
Key Responsibilities
SAF Sustainability, Certification & Compliance
* Support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of SAF sustainability procedures in alignment with voluntary certification schemes (e.g., ISCC, RSB).
* Prepare for and participate in voluntary scheme audits, including site visits, ensuring all documentation is complete and compliant.
* Assist with mandated reporting requirements across global entities, including non‑CO₂ reporting under ReFuelEU Aviation.
* Issue SAF sustainability documents such as Proof of Sustainability (POS), Proof of Compliance (POC), and Product Transfer Documents (PTD).
Mass-Balance, Book & Claim & Operational Assurance
* Maintain and reconcile mass‑balance inventories across all applicable entities.
* Serve as the internal point of contact for all Book & Claim administration queries and transactional coordination.
* Contribute to the organisation’s Book & Claim platform activities, supporting commercial and supply teams to optimise transaction flows.
Data Management, Reporting & Process Development
* Compile, validate, and analyse SAF reference data for regulatory and customer reporting.
* Monitor and update SAF obligation requirements in each mandated jurisdiction and assist in modelling future demand scenarios.
* Develop processes ensuring full compliance with sustainability, traceability, and chain‑of‑custody regulations.
* Maintain accurate operational, sustainability, and certification records in line with ISO/BMS requirements.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
* Work closely with Supply, Logistics, Business Development, Sales & Marketing, Operations, Technical and Finance teams to embed SAF into existing reporting and operational processes.
* Ensure relevant updates and developments in the SAF sector are communicated internally to key stakeholders.
* Coordinate SAF‑related work orders and Professional Services Agreements (PSAs) with external service providers such as SCS.
Required Skills & Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Sustainability, Engineering, Energy, Chemistry, Business, or a related field.
* Experience in supply chain, sustainability compliance, aviation fuels, energy, or a similar analytical environment is advantageous.
* Strong analytical and numerical skills with excellent attention to detail.
* Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, v‑lookups, modelling).
* Experience with ETRM systems (e.g., Amphora Symphony) is beneficial but not essential.
* Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple internal and external stakeholders.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, evolving environment.
