About the vacancy:
The University of the West of England has a leading profile in healthy and sustainable environments. The Centre for Public Health and Wellbeing is appointing a Research Fellow with a background in green infrastructure and wellbeing to support these activities.
This role is specifically targeted at addressing the challenge of creating more healthy, climate resilient and equitable places through both existing research activities and supporting grant applications. Part of the role is working in collaboration with the Centre for Sustainable Planning and Environments on the Natural Environment Research Council-funded GP4Streets project.
The GP4Streets project will create tailored do-it-yourself (DIY) green blue grey infrastructure (GBGI) solutions as a green prescription for urban streets, allowing communities to adapt to their specific environmental challenges posed by a changing climate.
About you
You will lead data collection for the GP4Streets intervention sites in the West of England and Surrey, working closely with colleagues in the Centre for Sustainable Planning and Environments and at the University of Surrey.
