About the Role
Our partner SEND School is seeking a caring, reliable, and committed SEND Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join our dedicated team. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and the SENCO to support pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, enabling them to access learning and develop independence in a safe, structured environment.
This role may involve supporting pupils one-to-one or in small groups, both in the classroom and during targeted interventions.
Key Responsibilities
1. Support pupils with SEND to access the curriculum and learning activities
2. Work under the direction of the class teacher and SENCO
3. Provide one-to-one or small group support as required
4. Support pupils with communication, emotional regulation, and social development
5. Assist with personal care needs where required
6. Promote positive behaviour and wellbeing
7. Observe, record, and report on pupil progress
8. Contribute to a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment

9. Experience working with children or young people with SEND (desirable)

11. Strong communication and teamwork skills
12. Ability to follow individual support plans and guidance
13. Commitment to safeguarding and child-centred practice
14. Relevant qualifications or training (desirable but not essential)
