A lovely new role working for a global household business who own a large number of brands we all love and use daily. They have an opportunity for an experienced and ambitious Procurement Manager to join the function.
This role will report to the Head of Category Management and oversee key spend areas such as MRO, International Freight, Warehousing, Operational Spend, and Utilities. Candidates with a broad range of indirect category management experience are encouraged to apply.
Role and responsibilities:
* Create strategies to ensure delivery and performance, including annualized savings
* Develop group-wide category plans to ensure alignment and leverage suppliers supporting local offices
* Engage and influence senior stakeholders from Director to Board level using strong market knowledge
* Build relationships with key stakeholders to understand supplier performance
* Monitor supplier risk and performance through reporting tools and feedback
* Promote procurement values and standards, living company values and delivering high standards
* Oversee strategic projects and ensure optimal service and cost efficiency
Experience and requirements:
* Experience in indirect category procurement within large, complex businesses
* Preferred categories: Warehousing, International Freight, MRO, Logistics & Operations
* Private sector procurement experience, ideally in a global company
* Experience managing complex global projects with Tier 1 & 2 suppliers of significant value
* Ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders across regions
* Strategic mindset in procurement, supplier, and business management
* Excellent communication skills across cultures and countries
* Adaptability in fast-paced, changing environments
* MCIPS qualification is preferred but not essential
