The Account Executive will play a crucial role in expanding our carbon reach by working with more and more customers, whilst supporting our existing customers successfully exceed their goals. You will be working closely with product managers and onboarding team to successfully onboard new customers and guide them to get the best out of our technology. This role also collaborates with data scientists and engineers to ensure we are delivering what our customers need. Ensuring a healthy continual marketing and sales pipeline Engage in client and stakeholder meetings to understand their requirements, determine feasibility, and evaluate risks Being the primary liaison with Grid Edge clients to ensure their needs are met and exceeded. Identify and develop new prospects through the proactive use of research, attendance of external seminars and networking events. Including Trade Shows, Conferences, Exhibitions and industry workshops. Providing virtual / in-person product demonstrations to sales leads able to work autonomously but also help to identify, onboard and educate partners in conjunction with the other members of the Growth Team. Develop positive working relationship with partners to help build business. Articulate our value proposition to partners and generate leads from the partners through effective engagement and building trust. Lead commercial negotiations and successful deal completion to secure long term contracts. Generate new business by identifying, building, nurturing and maintaining relationships with prospects including continued relationship management of customers resulting in SaaS revenue generation against targets. Building long term relationships with key clients ensuring regular contact and working with them on their carbon reduction journey. Work closely, communicate effectively and plan strategically with marketing, project management and implementation teams to drive customer success. Ownership of a sales target, management of personal pipeline and delivery against CSAT performance. Contributing towards social media and PR activity. Pipeline management and reporting. You will own the renewal and the upsell pipeline. Contributing to sales-oriented marketing collateral Continuously work to innovate internal team processes and client engagement processes Develop reports for senior stakeholders to communicate progress and value delivered on their Grid Edge journey. Collaborate closely with other teams including product Managers as well as with a wider team of Software Engineers, Data Scientists, UX experts and more. Key Skills and Experience: Essential Proven successful business development, customer success and/or consultative sales experience in energy, buildings management or facilities management sectors High Emotional Intelligence Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to make the complex simple, user friendly and easy to understand. Outstanding at getting in front of customers, building strong relationships, gaining buy in and then selling product capabilities to meet their business needs Has excellent organizational, time management and project management skills Excellent stakeholder management skills, with an ability to communicate with individuals at varying levels in an organisation, from ‘shop floor to c-suite’ Able to size problems, communicate them really clearly and help prioritise. Excellent listening skills, ability to understand customer needs, and translate what is heard into tangible actions Excellent Stakeholder management and communication IT literate in MS Office, particularly Word, Excel and Powerpoint Ability to manage multiple competing priorities, and work effectively under the pressure of time constraints in a fast-paced, collaborative environment Bachelors degree with relevant work experience Experience maintaining and tuning a CRM system Nice to Have Good general business acumen and commercial awareness Excellent commercial negotiation skills Experience communicating to different personality types, scenarios and managing high pressure scenarios.
